The safety and functionality of food and environmental materials, such as water, air, and soil, that are closely related to our daily lives is of growing concern. However, until now, it has been considered difficult to qualitatively and/or quantitatively evaluate these complex materials using simple biological methods. At the TAS Project (also known as "TA&S"), we will present the predictive (in vitro test) evaluation of:
  1. the risks of gene (the "blueprint of life") damage and
  2. the potential ability to prevent such gene damage.
We can also measure the metabolite content of the damaged genes in urine, plasma, and tissue samples in animals and humans (in vivo test). These data indicate that the whole-body estimation that depends on the positive and negative compound factors.

  Business Summary

  • Evaluation of the biological toxicity and antioxidant effect in in vitro samples using a guanosine oxidation test (GO test)
  • Measurement of the 8-oxo-dG/dG ratio in in vivo samples using a liquid chromatography apparatus, which was customized for the 8-oxo-dG/dG simultaneous assay system (TAS system)
  • Sale of the concerned reagents (8-oxo-dG and dG)
